What a year! We had an overwhelming response ahead of 2018 Christmas Can Drive from across the state. We were delighted to have the support of the Queensland Police Service, achieving their goal of seven-tonne by opening the can drive to the public at 50 stations for the first time.

Retail First and All Purpose Transport had another successful year as Foodbank Australia’s largest can drive, collecting a staggering 34-tonne.

Brisbane City Council Book Amnesty was a fantastic initiative for so many! Over 3,500 books were returned, over $200,000 in fines were waived and 14-tonne of pantry items delivered to the warehouse for distribution. All this is alongside hundreds of companies and individual donations who gave freely during the Christmas period.

Because of your support and generosity, we collected more than 70,000kgs of food, enough for 126,126 meals for Queenslanders in need. Thank you.

Get in touch with the Foodbank Queensland team today if you would like to run a Can Drive. Giving doesn’t have to end at Christmas time.
