ABC CANBERRA & FOODBANK GIVING TREE

This festive season you can help to provide sustenance and support to vulnerable people in the ACT community through Foodbank & ABC Canberra’s Giving Tree appeal.

One in five Australians experience food insecurity at some point each year. Foodbank addresses this crisis by distributing food and grocery supplies to charities for their food relief services. To do this, Foodbank works with the entire Australian food and grocery sector including farmers, wholesalers, manufacturers and retailers who donate and redirect surplus product. Unfortunately the need is outstripping donations and that’s why your help is needed this Christmas.

In Canberra, Foodbank partners with 45 charities and schools and have delivered 393,000 kgs of food – just over 1 million meals – in the last twelve months.

Listen to ABC Canberra throughout November and December to hear more about the campaign, and the positive impact you can help make in Canberra and beyond.

What to donate?

Funds

Foodbank welcomes all financial donations, and just $1 donated provides two meals. No one in the ACT should go without food this Christmas, but we need your help to make that a reality.
Please donate now and help to feed struggling families and individuals this Christmas.
