RetailFirst aiming high for 2018 Food Drive with 40 tonne and $20K donation?

RetailFirst have set the bar high again this year as they continue their ongoing support for Foodbank Queensland. They have aimed their sights at a whopping 40 tonne of food relief donated from their annual public food drive available through all RetailFirst centres.

They’ve been hard at work this year and have rolled out shiny new purpose-built collection bins in each of their 20 centres all over South East Queensland. In addition to the 40-tonne goal, Retail First Shopping Centres’ owner, YFG, has also offered a $20,000 donation to Foodbank if the goal is met.

All Purpose Transport have again volunteered their staff, trucks and staff to help with all things logistical. Ensuring that the bins are emptied and goods delivered to Foodbank on a regular basis until the campaign wraps up on December 31st.

Currently, 25% of the goal has been reached and that number is expected to ramp up rapidly in the lead to Christmas.Participating is easy, simply grab an extra item in your next shop and drop it into the donation cages located outside each supermarket in RetailFirst shopping centres to help those in need this Christmas.
