We have been the very lucky recipients of funds from events held in all corners of our State, most recently the HBF Run for a Reason and the Tour of Albany bike ride. See how the community supported us.
HBF Run for a Reason
We had an incredible day at HBF Run for a Reason! Despite the weather, so many amazing individuals stepped up, braved the conditions, and made a huge impact. Thanks to their dedication, the equivalent of 6,434 meals were raised to support those doing it tough.
This year saw a huge 127 amazing people represent Foodbank WA at the event, a big increase on the three people who supported us in our first year, three years ago.
Big shoutout to our highest fundraiser, Nicolas from Sodexo’s Stop Hunger Team – an incredible effort! Our largest group of 42 came from Shalom House who joined some amazing teams from The APP Group, Chubb Insurance and Delorean– their support was invaluable.
Tour of Albany
We were so lucky to be the beneficiaries of this year’s Tour of Albany, and what an incredible day it was! The energy was high, the weather was kind, and thanks to the amazing Great Southern community, the equivalent of 20,035 meals were raised – with all funds staying right in the region to support those in need.
A special thank you to our partner Southern Ports, who doubled all donations, making an even bigger impact for local families.
We are so grateful for events such as these which not only raise much needed funds but also allow us to advocate for those who are struggling in our communities.
