Supporting Charities Throughout Queensland

Foodbank Queensland Community Partners

Foodbank Queensland provides food and groceries directly to Community Partners who support people seeking food relief. Foodbank Queensland currently works with more than 350 Community Partners across the state. Our Community Partners range from large service providers like the Salvation Army and St Vincent de Paul, to small community groups and shelters. Community Partners provide a variety of services, including food relief such as food hampers, low-cost grocery outlets, community meals, cooking programs and street feeds to help people in need. If you are a Queensland charity or support provider, Foodbank Queensland membership is a great way to support your food relief projects, offering your organisation a reliable source of food and groceries all year round.

Becoming A Foodbank Queensland Community Partner

To access Foodbank Queensland’s ‘pantry’, your organisation must become a registered Foodbank Community Partner. Members need to be involved in the delivery of food relief programs in their community and be able to demonstrate that they meet the eligibility criteria. If accepted, Community Partners pay a small one-off membership fee when joining.

Please read the Frequently Asked Questions Factsheet to help decide if Foodbank Queensland membership is right for you. If you wish to advance with your application, please click on the link below to complete an application form.

Workplace Giving is living proof that small change can make a big difference

Thank you for your interest in supporting Foodbank Queensland. Workplace giving is a great way to show your support. Also known as payroll giving, this program allows staff to donate a portion of their pre-tax salary, which companies can then match to double the impact. To set up workplace giving for your organisation, all you need to do is set up payroll donations and then encourage your staff to sign up. The program offers a strong sense of purpose for those participating.

There are two ways you can set up Workplace Giving for your organisation:

Third-Party Platform

Using a platform provides an easy to navigate and streamlined process for your payroll team and staff. You will find further set up instructions via their website. Staff are able to create accounts, choose a charity and donation amount and manage their contributions themselves.

There are several platforms you can use, such as Good2Give or Goodcompany. The use of a thirdparty platform does however incur a fee, unlike bank transfers.

Bank Transfer

You can set up your Workplace Giving program internally through regular bank transfers that coincide with your pay cycle. For assistance with this, we suggest visiting the ATO website, Workplace Giving Australia or 1 Million Donors. Paying via bank transfer means that you don’t have to worry about fees incurred by third party platforms. In order to set up a bank transfer, please contact Foodbank to receive deposit details.

Workplace Giving is living proof that small change can make a big difference. If you’re ready to apply for Workplace Giving, or have any questions please email the Foodbank team at fundraising@foodbankqld.org.au

Gift In Your Will

Your generosity will create a lasting legacy of care and kindness

Your legacy can change lives

When you leave a gift to Foodbank Queensland in your Will, you extend your generosity far beyond your lifetime. Every bequest, large or small, helps ensure families have access to nutritious food and the chance to thrive. Including Foodbank Queensland in your Will is simple and meaningful. It’s a way to carry forward your values, creating a lasting legacy of kindness and community care. We recommend speaking with your solicitor or trustee company to help you create or update your Will and ensure your wishes are clearly reflected.

Suggested wording for leaving a bequest:

I give the sum of $ to Foodbank Queensland Limited (ABN 89 067 251 209) to be applied for its general charitable purposes, and I declare that the receipt of the CEO, for the time being, shall constitute a full and sufficient discharge to my trustee who shall not be obligated to see or enquire as to the application of this gift.

I give the whole of my estate to Foodbank Queensland Limited (ABN 89 067 251 209) to be applied to its general charitable purposes and I declare that the receipt of the CEO, for the time being, shall constitute a full and sufficient discharge to my Trustee who shall not be obliged to see or enquire as to the application of this gift.

I give the residue of my estate to Foodbank Queensland Limited (ABN 89 067 251 209) to be applied for its general charitable purposes and I declare that the receipt of the CEO, for the time being, shall constitute a full and sufficient discharge to my Trustee who shall not be obliged to see or enquire as to the application of this gift.

When a cause has touched someone’s life, as a relative or friend you may wish to commemorate them in a way that reflects that connection. One way of doing this is to request that a donation be made to the cause of their choice, in place of flowers at the funeral. Most undertakers will organise this as part of their service, but you can also donate directly to Foodbank.

Foodbank Queensland Limited ABN 89 067 251 209 is registered with the Australian Charities and Not for Profits Commission (ACNC) and endorsed as a Deductible Gift.

To speak confidentially about making a donation in your will, please contact Fiona via the details below.

The Foodbank team is small and we rely heavily on teams and individuals who generously give their time to help us get food to the people who need it. We have different volunteer opportunities available in each state, if you would like to volunteer select your state below:

Individual Volunteering

Volunteering is an amazing gift to your community

By joining the Foodbank Queensland team as a volunteer, you will make a direct and positive community impact – helping us to get food to thousands of families every week. Your support will give food and hope to someone going without.

Our volunteer shifts are generally 4 hours per week and are in-person at the Foodbank Queensland Food Distribution Centre, Morningside, Brisbane. We offer a variety of volunteers roles from administration and customer service roles, to driving and warehouse work.

As of April 2025, we are now offering volunteering positions at our Townsville, Mount St John, Food Distribution Centre. At this Distribution Centre, hamper packing volunteer roles are available.

Corporate Volunteering Programs

Currently due to high demand, Corporate Volunteering is available exclusively for Foodbank Queensland’s Corporate Partners.

Foodbank’s Corporate Partnerships are built around a customised package aligned with your company’s mission and objectives to give back to the community.
