Volunteer your organisation’s time and skills

One of the wonderful benefits we are able to provide our partners is access to team volunteering opportunities nationally. Our volunteers are critical to delivery of our programs every day. In 2023 we sourced enough food for 92 million meals. With the help of volunteers we distribute food and groceries into the community to help feed individuals and families in need.

Volunteering can range from picking and packing food orders in our warehouses through to skilled volunteering in our offices around the country.

Volunteering at Foodbank means you’ll make a meaningful contribution, gain new skills or put old ones to good use, meet new people and help us distribute food for million people a month.

We rely on our friends

Foodbank relies on good friends for many of the services that help to keep the doors open from stationery, equipment, flights and accommodation to strategic planning and marketing.

As a not-for-profit organisation, Foodbank relies on the goodwill of its friends for goods and services such as freight and transport, food storage, trucks, forklifts, IT hardware and maintenance, accounting and legal support, printing, office furniture, equipment and supplies as well as much more.
