Fundraise for Foodbank

We couldn’t do what we do without the support of the community. Every year, hundreds of motivated, inspired individuals put their thinking caps on and bring to us different ideas to raise either funds or food and join the fight against hunger in South Australia and the Northern Territory.

Whether you are looking to organise a fundraising activity at your organisation or have a tin to collect coins at home, there are many ways to help.

Fundraising Registration

Join the Fight

If you have any questions please contact us on 08 8351 1136.

When it comes to fundraising activities, the options are limitless and can take many shapes and forms.

Below are some ways to fundraise on behalf of Foodbank;

  • Set yourself a personal challenge such as climb, run, swim or walk
  • Organise a community or workplace virtual food drive
  • Ask friends and family to donate on your behalf to celebrate your birthday, wedding or anniversary
  • Host an event such as a morning tea, trivia night, sausage sizzle
  • Seek a sponsorship for an organised event such as a fun run, read-a-thon etc.

All funds raised on behalf of Foodbank SA & NT go directly to where they are needed most – providing food relief for thousands of individuals and families who are experiencing hardship.

Donations of $2 or more are tax deductible.

The toolkit provides information to assist in formulating, planning and executing a successful event. Fundraising is not only fun for those involved, but also helps provide much needed food to those most vulnerable in our state. It’s a social and rewarding way to give back to individuals and helps to promote an enhanced sense of community. What’s included in this kit:
  • About Foodbank, fundraising
  • Some ideas on what kinds of activities you could do for fundraising
  • Your responsibilities as a fundraiser – making sure you comply with all state laws
  • What Foodbank can do to help you
  • Media and logo usage approvals
  • How to donate the money you raise fundraising forms and donation receipts.

To access a copy of the Fundraising Tool Kit, simply register your interest to Fundraise on behalf of Foodbank.

It is recommended to register your fundraising activity, particularly if you are requesting donations on our behalf.

Cause-related marketing

Did you know 57% of consumers’ purchasing decisions are belief-based? Shoppers are simply buying or boycotting brands based on its social or political values. Partnering your brand with Foodbank offers many benefits. It can set you apart from similar brands in a crowded market, it can fuel sales, it shows commitment to social responsibility and, importantly, it makes an impact – helping Foodbank to deliver more food to more Australians in need.

With food waste increasingly in the spotlight and the issue of food insecurity gaining national momentum, there has never been a better time to partner with Foodbank and show commitment to ending hunger in Australia.

Cause-related marketing is an easy, engaging and powerful way to support Foodbank by engaging existing and potential consumers with your brand. To find out more take a look at some of our past cause-related marketing campaigns.

Get in touch with our Partnerships team today to discuss how a cause-related marketing initiative with Foodbank can work with your organisation or find out more about partnering with Foodbank
