GIFT IN YOUR WILL

Leave a legacy that fills plates and hearts

At Foodbank SA & NT, we know that the fight against hunger doesn’t end overnight. Every day more families are turning to us for help and with demand continuing to rise, we need to plan for the future as much as we respond to the now.

One way you can make a truly lasting difference is by leaving a gift in your Will.

It doesn’t need to be large. Even 1% of your estate, after your loved ones are cared for, can help make sure Foodbank is always here for people doing it tough. It means we can keep our warehouses stocked, our trucks moving and our support reaching communities when disaster strikes, whether it’s fires, floods or the ongoing cost of living crisis.

A gift in your Will is a powerful act of hope. It says you believe in a future where no child goes hungry, where families in crisis have somewhere to turn and where no one is left behind.

People like Jenny are already making that choice. After a lifetime of helping others, she has decided to leave a gift in her Will to help make sure no one falls through the cracks. Her story is below, and we hope it inspires you to consider leaving a legacy of your own.

A bequest is a way to continue making a positive, life-changing contribution and will ensure Foodbank receives the vital support we need to realise the vision of an Australia without hunger.

If you would like more information, please contact Beth at fundraising@foodbanksa.org.au or call on (08) 8351 1136 for a confidential chat.

Why Jenny is leaving a gift in her Will to Foobank

Jenny has dedicated her life to helping others, as a nurse, community worker and advocate for those doing it tough. Through her work, she’s seen how something as simple as a meal can restore dignity and hope for people facing homelessness, mental illness and hardship.

That’s why Jenny has chosen to leave a gift in her Will to Foodbank SA & NT.

I have seen too many people fall through the cracks,” she says. “Foodbank reaches them. They are practical, reliable and they get food to the people who need it most. I want that to continue long after I am gone.”

A keen gardener, Jenny sees her bequest as planting something lasting, seeds of support and care that will grow long after she’s gone. Her gift will help ensure families in crisis have somewhere to turn, and her kindness will continue nourishing lives for years to come.
