Community Banking Partnership to support School Breakfast Program

In May 2022 Foodbank SA and Credit Union SA started a partnership to support our School Breakfast Program.

The Foodbank SA School Breakfast Program helps to provide healthy, nutritious food to children who turn up to school hungry. The program also helps schools to provide fruit bowls in classrooms and common areas for students to consume at school.

Foodbank SA delivers breakfast foods to registered schools free of charge in all regions of South Australia and also provides food to other charities for their school breakfast programs. Breakfast items provided include cereal, long-life milk, canned fruit, Vegemite, jam, fresh fruit, and bread.

Credit Union SA has provided customer-owned banking services to South Australians for over 60 years, with a key focus on serving the education community and schools. In May 2022 they committed over $10,000 to ensure that Foodbank SA can continue to provide healthy, nutritious food to children who turn up to school hungry in all regions of South Australia.

You can help in making the Credit Union SA support of the School Breakfast Program stretch even further. Simply reach out to the team at Credit Union SA and talk to them about their range of banking products and loans. In return for taking out a product to suit your needs, Credit Union SA will reward Foodbank SA with an extra donation of up to $500 per loan – to further support the School Breakfast Program.
