IKEA having the balls to make the difference

We are so grateful to have the support of the IKEA Co-workers who have once again had the balls to make the difference. Foodbank has been a proud charity partner of IKEA for several years and we look forward to the ongoing partnership for years to come.

From donation of kitchens to meat balls, the IKEA team are definitely more than flat-packs!

Furniture & Kitchen’s

Every recent Food Hub fit-out wouldn’t have been complete without the IKEA kitchen. Not only have IKEA donated the kitchen flat packs, the team have helped to design the kitchens and volunteered their time to build them at our Food Hub sites. Importantly, this has helped Foodbank free up funds to ensure it is put towards buying much needed food for those in need.

This month, the IKEA team have also helped with donations of our volunteer cupboards, lockers and Royal Show stand furniture!

Tonnes of Balls

Who doesn’t love the IKEA Meat Balls? We love that IKEA have donated not only their traditional meat balls but also, the plant-based variety over the Winter months. These have been a massive hit for our clients in the Food Hubs.

Most recently, the IKEA co-workers conducted a food drive filling hampers with much needed key staples.

Other support

IKEA share our message and impact with their IKEA Family and often have our Tap & Go digital donation devices at their counters, raising much needed funds to help us provide food to people in need.

Thanks to Matt, Tim and their fellow co-workers, Foodbank really feel part of the IKEA family.
