Community Engagement & Impact Team Leader

Your Role & Impact

As the Community Impact and Engagement Team Leader, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, coaching and supporting a small, passionate team of Community Engagement Coordinators
  • Designing and delivering engagement strategies that are inclusive, community-led, and impactful
  • Building trusted partnerships with local councils, schools, government representatives, First Nations groups, and multicultural communities
  • Representing Foodbank at community events and stakeholder meetings across NSW and ACT
  • Coordinating and supporting the delivery of the School Breakfast 4 Health Program
  • Collaborating internally with Fundraising, Support Services and Operations teams to align activities
  • Leading community outreach efforts during natural disasters and emergencies
  • Monitoring engagement activities and reporting on reach, impact and areas for improvement
What are we looking for?
  • Experience leading community engagement, outreach or partnership programs within not-for-profit or community services – ideally with knowledge of food relief programs
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with community organisations, schools, government, and culturally diverse communities
  • Experience in leading and motivating teams, with a strong focus on collaboration, inclusion, and assisting with professional development
  • Strong experience leading projects from start to finish with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes in dynamic environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence in public speaking and community representation
  • A data-informed mindset, with experience in using insights to shape strategy and measure impact
  • A commitment to Foodbank’s vision and mission, supporting communities across NSW and the ACT
  • A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel across NSW and ACT at least once every 6 weeks and more frequently at short notice during natural disasters

 Individual Giving Manager

Are you passionate about building meaningful connections and driving sustainable growth in donor engagement? Foodbank NSW & ACT is looking for an Individual Giving Manager – Growth & Retention to lead strategic initiatives that enhance donor relationships, increase lifetime value, and strengthen our mission to fight food insecurity.

Your Role & Impact

As the Individual Giving Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement a robust donor retention strategy with defined KPIs to boost loyalty, lifetime value, and satisfaction, across the IG program, with a focus on Regular Giving.
  • Design and refine donor journeys featuring timely, personalised engagement.
  • Collaborate with Marketing & Communications to produce high-quality stewardship materials (e.g. impact reports, donor recognition).
  • Actively reduce donor attrition using engagement tactics, feedback loops, and reactivation efforts.
  • Leverage data to test and enhance campaigns and donor journeys.
  • Streamline processes for improved donor experience and efficiency.
  • Lead appeals in partnership with agencies, focusing on donor retention.
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to deliver integrated, multi-channel engagement and repeat giving campaigns.
  • Manage and support the Regular Giving Administrator, emphasising program improvement and donor retention.
  • Monitor key metrics and report performance.
What we're looking for?
  • Previous experience in an Individual Giving, Regular Giving and Retention.
  • Experience in implementing acquisition, retention, and stewardship strategies to meet fundraising goals.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and implementing regular giving strategies and activities in collaboration with suppliers.
  • Able to develop key messaging for digital, web, and direct mail campaigns.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing projects with a well-developed analytical, problem-solving solving and decision-making skillset.
  • Ability to establish relationships with stakeholders to support successful fundraising programs.
  • Experience in providing campaign updates and evaluating performance.
  • Ability to manage the data with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
