The need for your support
Food donations are at an all-time low. That means we need to purchase more food than ever before, and rising costs are making it harder to keep up. Your support helps us bridge the gap and ensure no one is left behind. Whether it’s fresh produce from a farm, pantry staples from a warehouse, or trial products from your production line, your donation helps us deliver dignity, nourishment and hope to those facing hunger.

What you can donate to Foodbank NSW & ACT
We accept a wide range of products that may not meet retail standards but are still safe, quality-assured, and fit for consumption.
Here’s how we make it easy for you to donate:
If your product has incorrect ingredients, dates, or weights, we can manage the re-labelling process to meet compliance – just send us the correct details.
Missed an ingredient? Colour or flavour slightly off? If it’s still safe and quality-assured, we can take it. All we need is a letter from your quality team outlining the variation.
We can re-pack or decant damaged cartons, as long as the inner packaging is intact.
We accept all private label brands and have agreements with major retailers for redistribution, including defacing where required.
We can collect across New South Wales and the ACT, making it easy to donate across all product types.
As a registered charity, Foodbank NSW & ACT is granted the ability to extend Best Before dates on most product ranges. We manage these extensions in compliance with food safety standards, ensuring products remain safe and suitable for consumption. This process allows us to rescue more food and distribute it to Australians in need.
