Community Volunteers FAQs

Choose the type of volunteering that’s right for you:

  • Warehouse Support – Sort, pack and prepare food for distribution
  • Local pick ups – Assist our transport team with picking up donations to bring back to the warehouse.
  • Office Support – Support with administration tasks (we do ad hoc callouts as the need rises)

  • Our community volunteer shifts run Monday to Friday, 8am–2pm at our Western Sydney warehouse in Glendenning.
  • While we’re usually closed on weekends, we occasionally call for extra hands to pack emergency hampers when urgent needs arise.

All volunteering is located at Foodbank NSW & ACT Distribution Centre, 50 Owen St, Glendenning, 2761

Glendenning location not suitable for you?

May I suggest checking out Seek Volunteer or Centre for Volunteering NSW  or ACT that may help you find other opportunities closer to you.
