Workplace giving

Workplace Giving is living proof that small change can make a big difference.

Your donation will help families across Australia

Bring your workplace teams together and raise funds for Australians going without. Putting in place a Workplace Giving Program in support of Foodbank is an easy and rewarding way to support the elimination of hunger in Australia.

While Foodbank NSW & ACT receives food donations and some funds from the government, donations from members of the public are integral to supporting our food relief programs.

Your support of a regular donation through your pre-tax pay will help us reach the 1 in 5 Aussies facing food insecurity. For every $1 given through Workplace Giving, Foodbank NSW & ACT are able to provide 2 meals.

This is proof of the positive impact a small change can make to our fellow Aussies in need. If you were to give just $25 from your monthly pay that’s 50 meals you’re providing to hungry Aussies each and every month.

Gift in your Will
who need it

By leaving a gift in your Will, you can make a lasting impact on the lives of Australians facing hunger.

Creating a Lasting Legacy

Imagine a future where no child goes to school hungry, no parent has to skip meals to feed their family and no Australian faces the stress of not knowing where their next meal will come from.

With your support, we can make this vision a reality.

Your legacy can help strengthen Foodbank’s mission of ending hunger in Australia.

Steps to leave a gift in your Will

Your Will ensures your wishes and legacy are honoured. To ensure it is legally valid, you should work with a solicitor or legal professional.

Already have a Will? Adding a gift to Foodbank NSW & ACT is simple. Your solicitor can add a codicil—a quick, cost-effective update—so your generosity can make a lasting impact.

If you’d like to learn more about how your legacy can help fight hunger, we’d be happy to assist. Please contact Angela Munyard, Philanthropy Manager

  • Residuary Gift: After caring for loved ones and handling costs, you can donate a portion or all of what’s left of your estate to Foodbank NSW & ACT. This helps fight hunger.
  • Pecuniary Gift: Specify a fixed amount to donate to Foodbank.
  • Specific Gift: Donate assets like property, jewellery, artwork, or shares. These items can be sold to support food relief efforts.
  • No matter the size or type of gift, your generosity will leave a lasting impact on individuals and families struggling with food insecurity. If you’d like more information on how your legacy can help fight hunger, we are here to assist. Please contact Angela Munyard, Philanthropy Manager

To include a gift to Foodbank NSW & ACT in your Will, use the following wording: “I hereby leave free of all duties and taxes <_____________> to Foodbank NSW & ACT Limited (ABN 22 056 422 407) of 50 Owen Street, Glendenning NSW. An authorised receipt from Foodbank NSW & ACT will be provided.”

Options to include:

  • The whole (or ___%) of the residue of your estate
  • The whole (or ___%) of your estate
  • A specific amount or asset (e.g., shares or property)
  • Already have a Will? You can easily update it by asking your solicitor to add a “Codicil,” a simple amendment to your existing Will. This ensures your wishes are updated without rewriting the entire document.

Talking to your family about your Will ensures your final wishes are understood and respected. It helps them support your decision to leave a lasting impact through Foodbank NSW & ACT. If you include us, please inform your executors and guardians to help carry out your wishes.

We’d love to hear about your gift, as this helps us plan for the future and continue providing food relief where it’s needed most.
