Sowing Seeds for the Southwest

How Bunbury is provided valuable regional support

For a decade the wonderful people at Thommo’s Community Garden have been filling our shelves in Bunbury with locally-grown fresh produce.

Thommos Community Garden officially began operating on 26 February 2009 and by 2012, the team at Thommo’s were donating half of their fresh produce straight to Foodbank Bunbury.

The healthy and delicious donations include lettuce, corn, rhubarb, zucchini, kale, squash and so much more which is grown from seed and seedling by a team of dedicated and generous community members.

Late last year they celebrated the huge 10 year milestone with a morning tea.

Thommo’s is a member of Community Gardens Australia, who make it possible for Community Gardens and city farms to be places where people come together to grow fresh food, to learn, relax and make new friends.
