Corporate volunteering where
kindness is a company value
Are you looking for a fun and challenging way to increase employee engagement but tired of the same old options and looking for something out of the box that’s meaningful too? Foodbank WA has the answer, look no further.
Their Corporate Volunteering Challenges can be tailored to suit your group. They have two unique options, Meals for Purpose and Takeover Day Corporate Challenges which are impactful, and bespoke corporate experiences. Both allow teams to engage directly with their food relief services to create meaningful connections while still involving the traditional aspects of corporate volunteering including problem-solving, teamwork, and personal development.
Team-building activities encourage participation and collaboration, making employees feel valued and motivated. Engaged employees are more productive, creative, and loyal to their companies, reducing turnover rates and boosting overall morale.

Another advantage of successful corporate challenges is improved teamwork and communication. Corporate challenges require employees from different departments to work together, creating stronger relationships and a sense of camaraderie. This cross-functional collaboration enhances problem-solving skills and creates a more cohesive work environment.
Feedback from corporate volunteers that have taken up these challenges has been very positive, “We were assigned multiple tasks today, so we experienced a lot. It gave us a very unique experience. Totally loved it. Working on the shop area was, to me, the best part as you get to talk to the volunteers and the customers” said Teresa Wu, Sales Manager – Vertical Farming from Costa Group, one of Foodbank WA’s generous food donors.
“…It was a great opportunity to give back to the community, meet team members who we didn’t normally work with, and have some fun…” and “The presence and coaching from the Chef gave us a real-life experience of what it means to prepare 558 delicious meals. Great fun and collaboration” said Fabricio Barros, Manager ‑ Operational Readiness, Talison Lithium.
There is no better time than now to lock in your next corporate challenge. See how a Meal for Purpose team building day or Takeover Day Challenge will help to create a dynamic workplace culture, boost employee satisfaction, and contribute to long-term business success.
If the Corporate Takeover Day sounds like it would be a good fit, the full-day experience will see your group split into teams, depending on numbers, and some teams cook, others sort and pack hampers in the warehouse and even includes a real-life challenge shopping experience.
The Meals for Purpose Challenge offers an immersive half-day experience. From learning about food stress and relief to hands-on culinary adventures, this promises to be an unforgettable journey that combines learning, planning, shopping, teamwork, cooking and giving back all under the guidance of a professional Chef.
