It’s all about balance
At Foodbank, we’re passionate about helping Western Australians put healthy, nourishing food on the table. From fresh fruit and vegetables to whole grains and protein-rich staples, we know that what we eat shapes our health, energy, and overall wellbeing.


But let’s be honest – everyone loves a little treat now and then. And that’s perfectly okay. We believe healthy eating isn’t about strict rules or cutting out your favourite foods forever. It’s about balance: filling up mostly on wholesome choices while still enjoying those occasional sweet or savoury treats in moderation.
Just in time for the school holidays we got a huge donation of Le Snack packs thanks to our national partnership with Nestle and Uncle Toby’s – 31 pallets to be exact which is almost 10,000kg. To top it all off we also received about 5 pallets of Tim Tams (just over 2,000kg) from our wonderful friends at Metcash. We certainly had a lot of happy customers these school holidays!
Of course, it’s all a balance. We are proud and passionate to run a wide variety of nom! nutrition education programs which include cooking sessions to show how easy, affordable, and tasty healthy meals can be – while reminding everyone that it’s normal (and even enjoyable) to have a slice of cake at a birthday or a few biscuits with a cuppa.
Because at the end of the day, healthy eating should feel good – not like a punishment. And that’s the approach we bring to every meal, every day.
