Nourishing hope in tough times

A few months ago, our incredible friends at Red Dirt Melons in the Northern Territory donated 60 bins of watermelons to help Western Australians in need. The watermelons were distributed to all of our branches, brightening mealtimes for so many families.

Red Dirt Melons farm is comprised of over 1,074 hectares of land; of which 400 hectares are used at any one time during their growing season, and they are considered one of Australia’s largest single melon producers.

Watermelon is a hydrating fruit packed with nutrients that offers numerous health benefits, including hydration, weight management, and antioxidant properties. Whether enjoyed on its own, in salads, or as a smoothie, watermelon is a versatile fruit that can enhance your overall well-being.

Watermelon is considered to be a “superfood” which applies to foods which are considered to be packed full of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants – which certainly applies to the humble watermelon.

Thank you Red Dirt Melons, you donation means the world to us.

For us, and our customers it’s not just a fruit – it’s nourishment, relief and a reminder that someone cares.
