Getting food to West Aussies who need it!

Hello, we’re Foodbank WA.
We believe everyone should have access to healthy food. There are Western Australians going without every day, and we are working hard to change that.
We provide food and groceries to those who struggle to afford them. We deliver nutrition education to promote healthy eating and advocate on behalf of people that experience food stress.

Foodbank is a not-for-profit, non-denominational, federated organisation operating in every state and territory in Australia.
Foodbank Australia is the only Australian food relief organisation that is a certified member of The Global Foodbanking Network (GFN), which has members across six continents and more than 50 countries.
In Western Australia we are located at Perth Airport, Albany, Bunbury, Kalgoorlie, Geraldton and Peel.

Individuals
Are you looking for food assistance?
We help individuals and families find food relief in WA. People from all walks of life access food support with us, including groceries, food hampers, food vouchers, and pre-made meals. In fact, we help to feed thousands of people every month across the State–so you’re not alone if times are tough.

Schools
We work with schools all over WA, helping students to access nutritious food and learn about healthy eating for life. We can work with your school too!
Our various school programs deliver healthy food for students, as well as nutrition courses and cooking sessions to help WA kids make great food choices. Because as we all know, good nutrition helps kids grow to their full potential.

Individual volunteering Team volunteering Corporate challengesSustainable development goals
Foodbank plays a vital role in helping Australia deliver on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) — a global blueprint to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all.
Our work directly supports five of the 17 goals:

We support people experiencing hardship by providing essential food relief. We work with charities and schools across Australia to help build stronger, more resilient communities. By reducing the pressure of food insecurity, we help lessen the impact of poverty and give people the support they need to get back on their feet.

Foodbank is Australia’s largest hunger relief organisation. Our mission is for a hunger-free Australia. We work with the entire Australian food and grocery industry to source and distribute food to ensure everyone has access to good food. Achieving zero hunger is key to improving health, education and equality.

Food insecurity doesn’t discriminate and impacts many people in our communities. Our work helps bridge the gap by supporting those doing it tough, have access to good, culturally appropriate food.

Australian produces enough food for the population three times over. We rescue and divert from landfill, perfectly edible food and groceries from farms and growers to manufacturers and retailers. We are advocating the Federal Government to apply a National Food Donation Incentive.

Collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. We work with growers, producers, charities, schools, governments and corporate partners to share resources and deliver real impact.
