Working with
Farmers and Growers

Farming communities work closely with Foodbank to donate and share their nutritious products such as rice, meat, milk, grains, eggs and fresh fruit and veggies.

Capturing these products is made possible by working collaborative along the entire food supply chain – from farmers and pack sheds to retailers and produce markets, this delicious, Australian produce is often diverted from potential landfill and distributed directly to the Foodbank charity network and school breakfast program, ready to fill school lunch boxes or make a hearty meal.

Milk

To help the many Aussies struggling right now and give them one less thing to worry about, we developed a vital and industry-leading collaboration with Australia’s dairy companies to help supply Foodbank with over 900,000 litres of fresh milk every year.

Meat

When household budgets get tight, meat is often one of the first grocery items to be removed from the shopping list. We aim to work with the entire protein industry as part of our Foodbank Meat Program, to source, manufacture and create a regular and reliable supply of meat such as mince and sausage.
