Meet our
nom! Children team
Supporting parents and caregivers during the early years is at the heart of our nom! Children program.
These are the years where routines form, confidence grows and healthy habits begin to take shape.
Our nom! Children sessions give families practical, evidence-based support to help make feeding young children feel simpler and less stressful.
Our public health nutritionists bring deep expertise and a warm, human approach to every program we run, helping parents feel understood, encouraged and empowered.
Below, we are proud to introduce the team behind nom! Children, drawn from our nutrition education specialists who deliver programs across the state.
Tori Kurz (BSc (HumBiolNutn), MNutn&Dtcs, APD), Program Lead nom! Children
Tori leads our nom! Children program, supporting parents and caregivers of children aged 0 to 5 years. She is a Public Health Nutritionist and Accredited Practising Dietitian with more than five years of experience delivering evidence-based nutrition education to families. Her background includes a Master of Nutrition and Dietetics, specialist paediatric nutrition training and extensive study in the Ellyn Satter Division of Responsibility, which guides her approach to responsive and positive feeding.
Tori brings both professional expertise and lived experience as a parent, and she focuses on helping families build calm, enjoyable mealtimes. Her goal is to make feeding young children feel easier and more confident for every family she works with.
Charlotte McGinn (BSc (Food&Nutr), Public Health Nutritionist
Charlotte is passionate about making nutrition simple and accessible. She believes nourishing the body should not feel complicated, and she is committed to providing clear and practical guidance that meets families where they are. Equity is core to her work. She wants every family, regardless of circumstances, to have the knowledge and tools to make healthy choices.
Charlotte’s open and supportive approach helps parents and young people build confidence and form positive relationships with food. She loves connecting with people, listening to their stories and supporting them to create healthier everyday habits.
Libby Swanson (BSc (Nutrition), Dip Health Sc (Nursing), Public Health Nutritionist
Libby teaches parents of children aged 0 to 5 years the skills they need to support their child’s nutrition journey. She enjoys tailoring group learning so families can build confidence through practical skills and nutrition education. Her early career as a nurse in Perth and the Pilbara gave her strong insight into the diverse needs of regional and urban communities.
Libby remains inspired by her time in the Pilbara, where issues of injustice and inequity continue to shape her commitment to community focused education. With a blend of clinical experience, public health knowledge and cultural sensitivity, she brings purpose and empathy to every nom! Children session.
Jasmin Syammach (BHlthSc (Nutrition and Health Promotion), Public Health Nutritionist
Jasmin brings values of equity, integrity and inclusion to all her work. She delivers nutrition and cooking programs to school students, young people and families across communities in Western Australia. Her experience spans work with individuals, community organisations and the public health sector, always ensuring people’s needs remain at the centre.
Jasmin is passionate about sharing evidence based and accessible nutrition information. She focuses on simple, practical concepts that support communities to live healthy lives for longer.
