Can your team help Foodbank set the table this Christmas? 

All year round, our Ballarat Community Food Centre is somewhere our regional community can count on for warmth, nourishment and connection. Our Community Meals program plays a big part in that. 

Community members and families are referred to Foodbank by local schools or community organisations, as a place they can visit for much-needed groceries, or to sit down over a cooked meal. But once they step inside our Community Food Centre, something pretty special happens. 

At one table, friends and family come together over a delicious lunch, putting the stresses and worries of everyday life aside for a little while. At another, someone visiting the centre on their own for the first time sits down with a cuppa and strikes up a conversation with someone new.

Our Community Food Centre provides more than just a meal. It’s about sharing a table, a conversation and a sense of connection. And at Christmastime, that connection means more than ever.

This December, we’re hosting a series of Festive Community Meals at our Ballarat Community Food Centre, creating a welcoming space where locals can step inside, pull up a chair and enjoy a special three-course lunch with their community this festive season.

And we’d love for your team to be a part of it.

In fact, when it comes to making our Festive Community Meals possible, you could be our missing ingredient.

We’re looking for organisations to sponsor a meal service day for $2,500 + GST, with your funds going directly towards all the ingredients that make each festive meal possible.

And it’s not just about sponsoring from the sidelines. Your team will also have the opportunity to volunteer with Foodbank this December to help us prepare and share these lovingly prepared meals with our community.

• Time: 10:00am – 3:00pm

• Location: Foodbank Victoria Community Food Centre, 3 Soho Road, Mitchell Park

• Volunteer opportunities: Up to 4 team members per day

• Sponsorship: $2,500 + GST per day
