Come step inside Foodbank Morwell

Right now, Foodbank Victoria is feeding 76,000 people a day.

To put that into context, that’s more than the populations of Traralgon, Morwell, Moe and Churchill – combined.

A visit during Open House Latrobe will give you a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to distribute food to communities across Gippsland.

In the last 12 months, we’ve delivered more than 528,000 kilos of food and groceries to 31 charity partners in the Latrobe Valley; provided a nourishing start to the day for students in 118 local schools through the School Breakfast Clubs Program; and supported thousands of families through the Community Food Centre’s self-serve supermarket. The Centre’s in-house café also brings people together over healthy meals made with seasonal produce and barista-made coffee. 

At the end of your tour, you’ll be able to help us pack an emergency food hamper to help a Gippsland family who needs support. Plus there’ll be a Warehouse Detective exercise and a creative activity for the kids!
