Our School Breakfast Program Expands

We all know breakfast is the most important meal of the day – and now, even more Western Australian kids will start their mornings the right way.

Our School Breakfast Program is getting a major upgrade to make sure kids across the State have access to a healthy meal before class.

Starting in Term 1 next year our School Breakfast Program will expand to cover five days a week at participating schools. That means students can count on a nutritious start every school day.

The expansion of the School Breakfast Program also means that more schools will be invited to join the program – 130 in fact – meaning that more than 680 public and non-government schools and education sites will now be eligible for the program.

The State Governments $28 million commitment over four years, means our School Breakfast will have the funds necessary to cover the provision of food and funding for supervision, so schools have the support they need, meaning less rumbling tummies across the state.

A healthy breakfast sets kids up for success – improving focus, wellbeing, and learning. It’s not just good for students; it’s a win for teachers and the whole school community.

We are so grateful for the expansion of our School breakfast Program – this is more than just a meal – it’s an investment in education, health, and the future of Western Australian kids.
