Foodbank WA family milestones through the years

Some of our newer team members may not know this,

but long before Joshua and Micah were running around the office and visiting Super Fruity, they made a memorable appearance at a very special Foodbank WA celebration.

Back in 2021, our resident old timer, Miranda, disappeared on parental leave. However, she couldn’t stay away for long. Just two weeks later, she returned to help celebrate a major milestone: 21 years of the School Breakfast Program.

As you can see from the photo, Miranda was running on very little sleep, couldn’t quite squeeze into her purple polo, and was looking, in her own words, “about the size of the School Fruit Van“.

Despite this, she was perfectly on brand for the occasion and determined not to miss such an important celebration.

Fast forward five years and Joshua and Micah just celebrated their fifth birthday! The twins are familiar faces at Foodbank, regularly visiting Mum and making sure to spend time with one of their favourite characters, Super Fruity.

Today, it’s hard to believe just how much time has passed. The twins are very active little boys, and the latest photo is a wonderful reminder of how quickly the years fly by.

Big brother Samuel also celebrated a milestone recently, turning eight years old in July.

These photos are a lovely reminder that while programs, partnerships and milestones are an important part of our story, so too are the people and families who have been part of the journey along the way.
