We’re opening our doors with Open House Melbourne

Ever wondered what it takes to feed 76,000 Victorians every single day?

We’re opening our doors for guided tours of our new warehouse in Altona, as part of Open House Melbourne,. Come visit us on Saturday 25 July, and discover the inner workings of Foodbank Victoria. 

We’ll take you on a walk through our 10,000-square-metre purpose-built facility, designed to distribute more than 14 million kilos of food to communities across the state every year (that’s like filling 550 Melbourne trams full of food). 

Plus, you’ll be able to hop on board one of our 18-metre purple bendy supermarket buses (called Dorothy and Dave). There’ll be a Warehouse Detective exercise and a creative activity for the kids. And, at the end of the tour, you’ll have an opportunity to pack emergency food hampers to help families doing it tough.

Whether you’re curious about supply chains, food sustainability or social impact, we can’t wait to welcome you to the warehouse.
