Turn your 10c containers into meals for families doing it tough.

Those empty containers hiding in your bin? Turns out they’re destined for much more than your recycling. Those empties can help put food on tables for Victorian families – we just need a little bit of your help to make that happen.

This winter, Foodbank Victoria are teaming up with Victoria’s Container Deposit Scheme (CDS Vic) to turn eligible drink containers into meals.

How it works:

When you return your eligible drink containers (cans, bottles and cartons) through CDS VIC, you can choose to donate your 10 cent refund to Foodbank Victoria.

You can donate by…

• Selecting Foodbank Victoria on the screen at a CDS Vic reverse vending machine
• Choosing Foodbank Victoria as your payout option in the CDS Vic app
• Asking for your refund to be donated at participating over-the-counter refund points and depots

Every 5 containers donated is 1 meal created, so if you’re reading this, this is your sign – collect your empties, head to your nearest refund point, and help Foodbank turn them into meals this winter.
