“The next few years saw me crossing the country to be there for my grandchildren. Upon joining the Wanslea Family Services Grandcarers Group in 2008, I was blessed with support, understanding and most importantly, my first Foodbank WA card.”

After getting help from Foodbank WA, Deb became passionate about helping others and giving back and now actively volunteers with multiple charity organisations to help others living in poverty.

“Now I’ve been helping with rainbow group for 7 years , and for the last 2 years I’ve been volunteering with Street Friends. We feed up to 300 homeless in the city each week.”
